Whats Been Happening and Albany Gamers

G’day Everyone, It has been quiet on the LAN Party front for a while. With our last LAN in July 2011, and the Movember LAN cancelled, it’s been a long time! Good news is that we’re still keen to keep gaming alive!

Over the last few weeks you may of noticed the facebook group called Albany Gamers starting to popup, this is a new project to get together all the gamers in Albany and the Great Southern, while not trying to promote the LAN Party front. A website was also launched for Albany Gamers today (www.albanygamers.com.au) and it is a semi-social website. It’s still a work in progress but go check it out!

As for an upcoming LAN… We did announce on facebook that we’re going to announce a LAN. It will most likley be a last one for a while. We’re aiming for the 7th of July 2012 (To not conflict with rflan the following weekend). We’re working with the Sim Racing Albany team to do a collaberative LAN and depending on the size of the LAN, we would like to have a 1 vs 1 RTS game happening, like Starcraft.

So where is it? TBA, checking venues out. It will be an overnight LAN and registrations will be strictly pre-paid. Watch this space!
